Special Injection Mouldings
A process used in the manufacture of plastics. Raw plastic, usually in granular form, is heated until soft enough to squeeze through a nozzle into a mould of the shape of the desired article. With thermoplastics, the mould is cold. With thermosetting resins, the mould is kept hot to promote the setting reactions. This type of manufacture is highly automated.
